What affects a dining experience? This visit had it all! Amazing company, clean surroundings, pocket-friendly AMAZING food.
When we reached the place was buzzing with people. Not before long, we were shown to a private setting area (you could sit in a common room also ) which was furnished with a low-lying table and sitting cushions on the floor. The meal started with disappointment as all the dishes we first selected were over ( and it was just 1 pm and which means the food is all fresh ). We then ordered what the staff recommended and there we were sitting on the floor, eating with our hands, sharing a plate! Like we were kids again, eating with family at home in India!
The meal started with a Lentil soup ( probably cooked with some type of meat)which was on the house. The mains were Chicken mandi, Yemeni Shakshoaka, Zurbian Chicken rice, Grilled fish, Zurbiyan meat with rice, and Fried meat that just melted in your mouth. But for me the star of the meal was Double Malawah bread – how do I even describe it! You have got to taste it for yourself to understand. All this was drowned with some Qahwa ( kind of a tea) . It’s all worth the trek far away to the industrial area.
This is definitely a must-try for all.
