This is technically a tea stall that serves the daily wage earner of the society in Doha. These types of establishments serve some of the best food in Doha – no frills honest kind of food. The food served here is Bengali cuisine that comes from the state of Kolkatta in India and the neighboring country of Bangladesh. It only serves Snacks and tea for the whole day. Snacks such as samosa (it is also called Shingara in Bengali) Jhaal Muri, Aloo Chop, and Dal vada ( only in the evenings ) with different types of Tea. This is probably the only place I have seen where they serve Malai Tea( Tea served with fresh cream).
The Samosas were served piping hot as was the tea. The filling of the samosa was very different from the ones that use usually get in the shops here. The ones you usually get are filled with Potatoes but these have vegetables. The guys who serve in the shop are a pleasure. Always ready to after you.
